Trinity River Levee Run

The Trinity Levee Run is in its 14th year and will host approximately 4,000 participants in 2018. Taking place the first Saturday of every March in Dallas, Texas, this is the largest run with whom the City of Dallas is a partner.

This is one of only 4 events throughout the year for which the city closes the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge for a pedestrian event.

The Half Marathon takes you on a unique journey through the Trinity River greenbelt near downtown Dallas. The course is mixed-surface, with gravel, dirt (sometimes rutted), asphalt, and concrete.

The 5K and 10K courses included the Trinity Skyline Trail and a rare opportunity to run across the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge! The Fun Run features an out and back on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. These are fast courses with fantastic views!

Race Course

The Half Marathon, along with the 5K and 10K courses include a rare opportunity to run across the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge! The Fun Run features an out and back on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. The 2018 course will follow the same route as 2017, but the Half Marathon is sure to be a challenge for everyone! The event course is shown below. The maps below outline the 5K and 10K.  Blue arrows indicate surface streets, pink arrows indicate the Trinity Skyline Trail.

Due to the difficult and varied surfaces, the Half Marathon is not recommended for people that are not experienced with mixed surfaces and that are not ready for a challenging run!

The Half begins and ends on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge then follows the Trinity River Levee gravel and dirt roads south to the Santa Fe Trestle, crosses the Santa Fe Trestle, heads north on the gravel and dirt roads, joins the paved Trinity Skyline Trail, then crosses the Ronald Kirk pedestrian bridge and returns across the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge to a fantastic finish!
